AfricaHackon asked FuKazee to design an AI training curriculum that ordinary, non-technical learners could actually use. In October 2026, its founder, Dr. Bright Gameli Mawudor, recommended FuKazee in writing for practical AI training, curriculum development and AI capacity-building. This article explains how we built the curriculum and shares the letter in full.

Who is AfricaHackon?

AfricaHackon is a cybersecurity organisation founded by Dr. Bright Gameli Mawudor. It wanted to offer AI training that moved beyond technical jargon, so that participants could apply AI skills with confidence in their work, their businesses and their everyday lives.

What did AfricaHackon commission?

AfricaHackon commissioned FuKazee to develop an AI training curriculum designed to make AI practical and accessible to non-technical learners. That meant office professionals, NGO staff, public servants, entrepreneurs and team leads: people who are curious about AI but do not want a highly technical course.

How did we design the curriculum?

We wrote a base curriculum for Dr. Bright to review, edit and adapt. It followed a few principles we use in all our training:

  • Workflow first, not tool first. Learners start from a real piece of work, such as a report, a proposal or a spreadsheet, and learn which tool helps with it. It is not a tour of apps.
  • Every week produces something useful. A prompt library, a briefing note, a reporting workflow, a team AI policy. Learners leave with outputs they use at work.
  • Beginner-friendly, but not generic. Clear language, no jargon, and examples from African workplaces.
  • Room for AfricaHackon's expertise. We built clear places for AfricaHackon to add its cybersecurity layer: data protection, secure AI use, phishing and social engineering, prompt injection and organisational AI policy.

We then refined the curriculum with AfricaHackon's feedback. In the letter's words, FuKazee "listened carefully to our requirements, incorporated our feedback throughout the development process, and delivered a programme that was practical, down-to-earth and aligned with what we had envisioned."

Where is the curriculum now?

According to AfricaHackon's letter, the curriculum "has since progressed into implementation and is being used as part of AfricaHackon's Artificial Intelligence training programme."

What did AfricaHackon say?

"We have been particularly impressed by FuKazee's ability to simplify complex AI concepts without losing their practical value, making the training suitable for people regardless of their technical background."

The text of the letter reads:

RE: Letter of Recommendation, FuKazee

I am pleased to recommend FuKazee, led by Rodney Maina Wanjohi, following our engagement with the company at AfricaHackon.

AfricaHackon commissioned FuKazee to develop an Artificial Intelligence training curriculum designed to make AI practical and accessible to ordinary, non-technical learners. Our goal was to create a programme that moved beyond technical jargon and instead equipped participants with AI skills they could confidently apply in their work, businesses and everyday lives.

FuKazee demonstrated a strong ability to understand our vision and translate it into a well-structured and relevant curriculum. The team listened carefully to our requirements, incorporated our feedback throughout the development process, and delivered a programme that was practical, down-to-earth and aligned with what we had envisioned.

The curriculum has since progressed into implementation and is being used as part of AfricaHackon's Artificial Intelligence training programme. We have been particularly impressed by FuKazee's ability to simplify complex AI concepts without losing their practical value, making the training suitable for people regardless of their technical background.

Our experience working with FuKazee has been highly positive. The company demonstrated professionalism, responsiveness and a genuine commitment to understanding and delivering on our needs.

Based on our experience, I confidently recommend FuKazee to organisations seeking practical AI training, curriculum development or AI capacity-building programmes. We would be glad to continue working with them as our AI training initiatives grow.
